Main responsibilities:

  • Drive global collaboration and alignment across multiple geographical sites, functions, and teams worldwide, serving as a key liaison between regional stakeholders and fostering strong partnerships across R&D, IT, and business units to ensure consistent implementation of digital solutions and best data practices throughout the organization
  • Champion local implementation of the global Digital Biologics Platform strategy at your local Large Molecule Research site
  • Help optimize the digital foundation to revolutionize data management workflows, harnessing lab and data flow automation in support of machine learning to accelerate biologics discovery and enable data-driven decision-making
  • Spearhead data governance initiatives at your site level to guarantee data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance, while cultivating a data-centric culture and establishing KPIs to monitor governance effectiveness and execution excellence
  • Lead the customization and enhancement of digital foundation platforms such as Genedata Biologics and Benchling, optimizing them for efficient data capture, registration, and comprehensive tracking capabilities
  • Help develop and deploy sophisticated scripts and tools using SQL, Python, and/or Java to extend platform functionality, enabling advanced data pre-processing, seamless ingestion, and powerful analytical capabilities
  • Foster strategic collaboration with global site leads, Digital teams, and cross-functional partners to integrate digital platforms with cutting-edge scientific applications, driving innovation in AI/ML and advancing biologics research

About you

Education:

  • Master or Ph.D. in bioinformatics, data science, natural sciences, bioengineering, or a related field

Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of drug discovery, in particular biologics drug discovery of antibodies and/or Nanobodies
  • Knowledge of data standards (e.g., FAIR principles), data lifecycle management (data registration, data analysis, data storage, data sharing and re-use), data quality assurance and validation techniques, data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data security and compliance, metadata management and data cataloging
  • Proficiency with bioinformatics tools for processing and analyzing (large-scale) datasets
  • Handon experience in coding languages including SQL, Python, Java, or C# (highly valued)
  • Hands-on experience with software platforms for biological data registration such as Genedata Biologics and Benchling or LIMS in general (highly valued)
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelining application (e.g., Biovia Pipeline Pilot, Knime) (highly valued)
  • Working knowledge of APIs, particularly RESTful architectures (highly valued)

  • Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to align diverse stakeholders, excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially related to documentation and technical guidance
  • Operational Excellence: Results-oriented with a focus on quality execution, strong organizational abilities, time management skills
  • Documentation: Skilled in creating user guides, SOPs, and system documentation

  • Proficient in English; French proficiency is required
