About Allied Health services
Allied Health at Cabrini is a rapidly expanding and highly integrated service comprising twelve professional disciplines. The department plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the organisation.
Cabrini Allied Health offers a wide range of opportunities, including senior consultant and leadership roles, clinical stream positions, junior staff rotation and support programs, professional development and teaching opportunities, and the cultivation of strong external and university partnerships.
What the role involves:
You will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes by delivering high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care. Your dietetic expertise will support personalised nutrition planning, patient education, and collaborative care within multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities:
Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualised care plans
Provide nutrition education and counselling to patients and families
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain contemporary knowledge of nutrition and dietetics best practice
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Grade 2 Dietitian to join our weekday dietetics service on a casual basis. You will need to be available for weekday (Mon-Friday) shifts as required at Cabrini Malvern, Brighton and the Elsternwick Specialist Centre. In this role, you will work independently and apply specialist-level clinical knowledge across key areas, including critical care (ICU), gastrointestinal surgery, sub-acute/rehabilitation (inpatient and outpatient)
You are a passionate and experienced Dietitian with strong clinical expertise and a patient-centred approach. You communicate effectively, work well autonomously, and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
You will have:
Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience in an acute healthcare setting
Demonstrated experience in ICU and gastrointestinal surgery
Master’s degree in Dietetics
Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia
Leadership experience within a specialised clinical area
Strong commitment to evidence-based practice, innovation, and ongoing professional development
