Position Summary:
Serves as the subject matter expert for nutrition and food safety information and training for Gordon Food Service. Develops and implements nutrition and food safety resources, tools and solutions for both internal and external customers.
What you will do:
Ensures conformance to nutrition, food safety, sanitation and regulatory standards.
Supports sales and marketing personnel by creating, maintaining and training on nutrition and food safety marketing materials and tools
Creates, evaluates and maintains recipe database and template menus for conformance to proper nutrition standards by sub-segment.
Delivers presentations on nutrition and food safety related topics.
Responds to telephone inquiries from internal and external customers and provides nutrition, food safety, menu planning and product selection information.
Maintains CMM Database including entry of new items and quality maintenance of existing items.
Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field.
Performs other duties as assigned.
When you will work:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.
What you'll bring to the table:
Bachelor Degree in Dietetics or related field required.
Registered Dietitian, and/or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist preferred.
Two to four years previous food service and/or clinical nutrition experience preferred. In lieu of the experience requirements, a proven capability to perform the essential functions of the job, as demonstrated by an equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant work experience may be considered.
Must have excellent written, verbal, and organizational, customer service and communication skills as well as problem-solving capabilities.
Must have ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently and/or within a team environment.
Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, database, presentation, email and internet software applications.
