Diesel Technician

$25.00-$40.00 DOE

Monday-Friday (7am-4pm)

Essential Functions

  • Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance

  • Diagnose and repair major systems on compact equipment, with emphasis on Bobcat machinery

  • Conduct system rebuilds and overhauls

  • Perform welding as needed

  • Collaborate effectively across departments—including Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental

  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in equipment service operations

  • Strong mechanical background with proven skills in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems

  • Self-motivated, organized, energetic, and able to stay calm under pressure while managing multiple projects

Work Environment

This position involves regular exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Work occurs both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme conditions. Noise levels can be loud.

Physical Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with customers

  • Highly active role requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 lbs

  • Movements required may place strain on muscles, joints, and tendons in the arms, chest, shoulders, and back

  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
