$0.00 - $0.00The Center for PA Studies at Albany Medical College is seeking a new member to join their didactic faculty.The Center for PA Studies at Albany Medical College is seeking a new member to join their didactic faculty. This is a 1.0 FTE, year round position. Considered candidates may come from a number of educational backgrounds including, but not limited to, PAs, MDs/DOs, PhDs, or others with graduate-level training in areas relevant to PA education. A Master's degree is required, and a doctoral degree is a plus. Duties will include both planning and delivering course content; student advisement; program, curricular, and student evaluation; active participation in accreditation activities; screening and selection of students for admission; and participation in departmental and institutional committees as assigned.
PA applicants must be licensed or eligible for PA licensure in New York State and have current Certification or Emeritus Certification from NCCPA.

The Albany Medical College PA Program is the third oldest in the state and 11th oldest in the nation and has held continuous accreditation since 1972. We have 10 full time faculty with 2.0 FTE of administrative support housed 100% within the department to serve 42 students per cohort. This is a 28-month program that commences in January. Students complete four terms (16 months) of didactic education and 12 months of clinical experience. Beyond the accreditation-required rotations, students also complete two elective rotations, a required orthopedics rotation, and a rotation in Comprehensive Interprofessional Care with multidisciplinary teams. Rotations will take place both within the Albany Med Health System and in other community facilities and practices. Students have access to a cadaver lab, medical library, and advanced simulation center (Patient Safety and Clinical Competency Center, or PSCCC).
