What will you be doing?

  • The role primarily involves reviewing, scanning, and maintaining Device History Records (DHR) to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with quality standards, accounting for approximately 60% of the responsibilities. Additional tasks include performing SAP transactions related to DHR operations, becoming familiar with the process flow across all value streams, and assisting in handling customer complaint documentation. The Technician collaborates closely with operations teams to maintain product quality by identifying discrepancies, raising awareness, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • The role also requires analyzing processes and proposing applicable improvements while monitoring the production line for gaps in critical areas such as 5S, line clearance, product identification and segregation, preventive maintenance, calibration, and the use of jigs and fixtures. By proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, the Technician ensures that quality, efficiency, and operational standards are consistently upheld across the production process.

What will you need to be successful?

  • The position is based in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia and is open to candidates holding a certificate or diploma in any discipline. While no specific licenses or certifications are required, experience in Device History Record (DHR) review is preferred, and familiarity with ISO 13485 standards is considered an added advantage.

  • There are no special physical demands or competence requirements for this role, and travel is minimal, at less than 10%. This makes the position suitable for individuals seeking an entry-level opportunity in a quality-focused environment within the medical devices industry.
