Major Duties:
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. Progressive experience performing duties related to those described above. This experience must include one year equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level to include: Demonstrated expert knowledge of Army organizations, structure, missions, functions, responsibilities, operations, and relationships with an emphasis on staff action processes and procedures. Comprehensive experience managing morale and recreation programs for a large, diverse population, which included at least three of the following: Sports, fitness, and aquatics (management of fitness centers, team/intramural sports, and pool operations); childcare/youth programs; business operations of multiple programs (such as bowling, food and beverage management, retail, travel/tourism); hospitality management; or family programs (social, welfare, family advocacy). Experience applying a wide range of management and program analytical and evaluation methods and techniques designed to identify program deficiencies and develop recommendations for improvement. Experience developing and delivering briefings and other formal presentations to inform, advise, persuade, and defend complex ideas which impact all levels within a large organization. Experience supervising subordinate staff to include performance management, conflict resolution, training, discipline, and successful team building. All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Possess 3 years demonstrated experience as a DFMWR Director or Deputy at a medium-to-large installation, ID or HQ. Possess Strategic thinker, process oriented and relationship builder skills. Possess the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills to include briefing and writing.
