Right now, we are seeking two bright and energised DevSecOps Engineers to design, develop and implement the Software Factory that includes various DevSecOps tools that enables accelerated and secure software factory. 

This critical role will see you working closely with the Engineering and Technology Functional Team, supporting multiple programs, providing platform services that enables them to deliver software securely.

The DevSecOps Engineer can look forward to the following essential elements in this exciting role:

  • Contribute to the design, analysis and implement DevSecOps tools ecosystem. 
  • Contribute to the cyber assurance and control implementation. 
  • Create automation scripts in various languages that offloads manual process, increases efficiency and consistency. 
  • Contribute to the platform roadmaps. 
  • Contribute to create a SaaS based delivery model for software factory within the Raytheon for programs’ software engineering teams. 
  • Opportunity to work in Azure Cloud and hybrid cloud ecosystems in a defence industry. 
  • Continuously learning in upcoming trends in the DevSecOps tools, methodologies. 
  • Have big picture thinking yet practical and rational in adding value continuously. 
  • Deep skill and expertise in Kubernetes administration. Preferably any of CNCF certification, but equivalent demonstrable skill and experience is also favoured. 

Skill, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in supporting software development and operations is essential. 
  • Experience in deploying and configuring Gitlab or equivalent tools. 
  • Experience in deploying and configurating in Artifactory/Xray or equivalent tools. 
  • Experience in writing automation scripts using a language appropriate to the context (ARM templates, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible etc). 
  • Good understanding of software package management (docker/podman, NuGet, crates, pip) 
  • Experience in identity management and RBAC using Active Directory, Keycloak. 
  • Experience in managing any code quality management tools such as Sonarqube. 
  • Experience in the management Azure cloud infrastructure including but not limited to Virtual machines, Vnet’s, NSG’s, Cost Management, Azure Monitor, Arm Templates, AZ cli, Azure automation, virtual machine image management. 
  • Experience in Linux operating system, preferably RHEL. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of VMware ecosystem and terminology and general tools and practices. 
  • Experience in managing platforms in restricted networks and air gapped networks is highly desirable. 
  • Experience working in highly cyber regulated industry is desirable. 
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills essential, be able to communicate with various levels of technical skills in simple intuitive term
  • Experience in a Defence related industry is desirable. 
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 and in future NV2 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
