Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a highly seasoned Dev Ops Engineer with Kubernetes expertise to join our team. In this role you will get to support key activities in defense of emerging threats in the cybersecurity domain.  You will work directly with our software engineering teams to engineer and configure our environments which host a complex software system comprised of multiple databases and varying technology stacks.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Analyze, design, and manage solutions for the deployments of complex software systems and associated databases.
  • Configure and manage Kubernetes clusters.
  • Engineer solutions for automating deployments and all associated software configurations to increase reliability of software applications.
  • Work with software engineering team to build CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support proxy configuration to handle routing and management of user requests.
  • Evaluate and revise solutions for data redundancy and backup.
  • Evaluate opportunities for process improvements and automation as well as end-to-end deployment pipelines.
  • Work as part of an extended team to define and design systems to meet information protection needs and continually assess systems effectiveness in defense of emerging threats with the goal to prevent and eradicate threats to critical U.S. systems.
  • Confer with mission customers and team members to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Collaborate in agile scrum cycles.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of Ten (10+) years’ experience as a Software Engineer with proficiency in Kubernetes management and deep understanding of high performance ingest and data transformation.
  • Kubernetes management and configuration experience
  • Experience managing and building pipelines for software deployment and configuration
  • Exposure to or experience working with Python
  • Expert level knowledge of Kubernetes clusters
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • CKA or CKAD certification
  • GitOps Experience, preferably using ArgoCD
  • Experience writing and debugging operators
  • Configuration of multiple database technologies (PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, MySQL)
  • Knowledge of ElasticSearch configuration to include user based restrictions on interaction
  • Hands on experience writing python or other scripts
  • Knowledge of best practices in cybersecurity particularly as they apply to gathering intelligence and analytics to identify threats.

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00
