About the Role:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team. This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, deployment, reliability, and developer enablement. This is a hands-on technical role working closely with development teams (your internal customers) to build and improve the systems that power MaintainX.

You will play a key role in two major initiatives:

Developer Experience (DevEx)
We are evolving how developers interact with infrastructure. Our goal is to empower product engineers to independently own and deploy their services while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability. You will help build the tooling and infrastructure that makes this possible.

Platform Optimization & Efficiency
As we operate Kubernetes clusters across multiple regions worldwide, optimizing performance, reliability, and infrastructure costs is critical. You will contribute to improving efficiency and reducing platform costs at scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Build, maintain, and evolve our cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Design, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for reliable deployments and releases
  • Manage and optimize multi-region Kubernetes clusters
  • Maintain and improve Helm charts and deployment workflows
  • Strengthen observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and define clear alert ownership
  • Improve infrastructure security (image scanning, policies, networking, firewall configuration, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with product engineering teams to support their infrastructure needs
  • Enable developers to independently deploy and manage services
  • Participate in on-call rotation during business hours only

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Software Engineering
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP experience transferable)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and managing deployments
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
  • Experience with Docker and containerized applications
  • Experience with observability tools (monitoring, logging, alerting systems)
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to support engineering teams
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Nice to Have:

  • Networking knowledge
  • Experience with C# and/or TypeScript
  • Experience operating infrastructure in multi-region environments
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Product mindset — ability to understand who your internal customers are and how to best support them

What’s in it for you:

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity opportunities.
  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) / RRSP enrollment program.
  • Take what you need PTO.
  • A Work Culture where:
    • You’ll work alongside folks across the globe that reflect the MaintainX values: Smart Humble Optimists.
    • We believe in meritocracy, where ideas and effort are publicly celebrated.
