As a DevOps Technical Leader at Sanofi, you will be responsible to drive the strategy, development, and scaling of our enterprise platforms built on AWS Cloud and Snowflake. The candidate will be responsible for defining DevOps standards and practices, leading a team of engineers, and working closely with enterprise digital teams to enable the reliable, and secure delivery of our platforms and data products that can scale. This is a hands-on technical leadership position where the candidate will help build a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish DevOps Standards: Define, implement, and enforce enterprise-wide DevOps standards, best practices, and governance policies to ensure consistency, security, and efficiency across all platforms and teams.

  • Platform Strategy and Architecture: Work with enterprise cloud architect to design and evolve solutions for automated provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Oversee the design, development, and optimization of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of applications and infrastructure.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the implementation of IaC using on Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources such as EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS/ECS, and RDS. Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation is a plus

  • MLOps and Data Integration: Collaborate with data science and ML Engineers to establish MLOps capabilities and data pipelines that integrate seamlessly with various data platforms like S3 data lake, Snowflake and AWS data ecosystem.

  • Data Governance and Analytics: Ensure robust data governance is built into our platform's design. Implement tools and processes for effective data analytics, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices, access controls (IAM), and compliance standards within the DevOps framework and across all cloud environments.

  • Coding Best Practices: Setup and enforce coding best practices: enforce best practices for coding standards, security scans for vulnerabilities by automation. Setup standards for peer reviews through Pull/Merge Requests. Should be able to manually review the code quality of developers and show what great looks like.

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers. Assign responsibilities and guide them in adopting modern DevOps practices. Experience integrating LLMs (CoPilot/Amazon Q/Anthropic Code) into pipelines to detect issues and set guidelines for developers to be more productive

  • Collaboration: Partner with development, QA, and other digital teams to foster a collaborative culture and streamline the software delivery lifecycle.

  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability, performance, and cost efficiency. Conduct performance tuning and root cause analysis.

About You

Key Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is must; a Master's is a plus.

  • 8+ years in software engineering and 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or Tech Lead role.

  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

  • Extensive knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and tools. Experience working on GitHub and Github Actions.

  • Deep, hands-on expertise with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS/ECS, RDS, and IAM. Experience with Snowflake, including data pipeline automation and integration with cloud-native services

  • Experience implementing MLOps principles and integrating with data science and analytics workflows.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, Shell, React JS.

  • Extensive knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Should be able to lead the design discussions and present the solutions to larger audience

  • Professional DevOps Engineer Certification from any major cloud providers (Professional) or other relevant certifications are a plus

 

Good to have Skills:

  • Data warehousing on Snowflake and integrating it with cloud environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

The salary range for this position is:

124,800.00 - 174,800.00 (Includes target bonus)

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefits programs, and additional benefits information can be found through the (CA)LINKOR (US) LINK.
