We are actively seeking a DevOps Engineer This is a remote role based in India, Hyderabad.

Position Summary

The DevOps Engineer builds and maintains the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation for Rimini Street's Agentic AI ERP Platform. You will enable rapid, reliable delivery of platform components across development, staging, and production environments.

Reporting to the Sr Director Engineering – India, this role ensures the platform meets production requirements: high availability, zero-downtime deployments, and support for both cloud-hosted and air-gapped customer environments. You will work across the full platform stack—from MCP servers to agent orchestration to customer-deployed components.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Platform Operations

  • Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters for platform services.
  • Build infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
  • Manage container registries, artifact repositories, and dependency management.
  • Implement networking, load balancing, and service mesh configurations.
  • Ensure platform resilience through redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery planning.

CI/CD Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
  • Implement automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates in pipelines.
  • Enable zero-downtime deployments with blue-green, canary, or rolling strategies.
  • Create deployment automation for multi-environment promotion (dev → staging → prod).
  • Support feature flag management and progressive rollout strategies.

Environment Management

  • Manage development, staging, and production environments with consistent configurations.
  • Support air-gapped deployment models for customer data sovereignty requirements.
  • Implement secrets management using HashiCorp Vault or similar solutions.
  • Create environment provisioning automation for rapid setup and teardown.
  • Manage database deployments, migrations, and backup procedures.

Reliability & Automation

  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response automation.
  • Build self-healing mechanisms and auto-scaling for platform services.
  • Create runbooks and automation for common operational tasks.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed.

Experience

  • 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
  • Experience managing production Kubernetes clusters at scale.
  • Track record building CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Background in enterprise software or B2B SaaS preferred.

Technical Skills

Required

  • Strong Kubernetes expertise including Helm, operators, and cluster management.
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • CI/CD pipeline development with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Container technologies: Docker, container registries, image optimization.
  • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.

Preferred

  • Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways.
  • Knowledge of GitOps practices (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Familiarity with Java (Quarkus) and Python application deployment.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL operations and database management.
  • Understanding of security practices and compliance requirements.

  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work in distributed, multi-timezone teams.
  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative mindset with focus on enabling developer productivity.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD.
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
  • HashiCorp certifications (Terraform, Vault).

Language: Fluent English required.
