Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of automated deployment, continuous integration, and cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will drive operational efficiency, ensure high availability, and support scalable and secure deployment pipelines across diverse projects. This role is critical in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence within the organization.
Software Requirements
Required:
Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including deployment and management of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
Proven scripting skills with languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation and configuration tasks
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or similar
Preferred:
Experience with enterprise security practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and secure pipelines
Knowledge of serverless computing and microservices architecture
Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
Overall Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, automated deployment pipelines for diverse applications and infrastructure
Manage cloud environments and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability
Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into the software development lifecycle and improve deployment processes
Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement solutions proactively
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices for infrastructure, data, and application deployment
Lead efforts in optimizing system performance, cost management, and disaster recovery strategies
Provide technical mentorship and cultivate best practices within the DevOps community of practice

Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering
Proven experience implementing automated deployment pipelines and managing cloud environments at scale
Strong background in scripting, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration in enterprise settings
Demonstrated ability to improve system deployment processes, reliability, and security
Experience with large-scale enterprise systems, financial services, or technology sectors is a plus
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous integration and deployment for multiple projects
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness
Collaborate with development and security teams to implement secure and compliant operational practices
Monitor infrastructure health, analyze performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues proactively
Automate routine operational tasks, system provisioning, and incident responses
Conduct periodic reviews of security policies, update deployment tools, and keep documentation current
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, or infrastructure management preferred
Proven track record of delivering scalable, automated, and secure infrastructure projects in a complex environment
