Job Overview

This position is part of IQVIA DevOps COE's platform engineering initiative. The team creates infrastructure based on requests from multiple products. This role involves working with IQVIA Global teams (e.g., networking, security) to ensure standards are followed when creating infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. The role is also responsible for managing and maintaining deployed infrastructure.

Essential Functions

• Designs, architects and implements cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled deployments.

• Creates and manages Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications using Docker, ensuring scalable and resilient platform infrastructure.

• Provides hands-on deployment support and troubleshooting for infrastructure and applications when required.

• Creates standardized software development environments and platform infrastructure solutions that can be reused across multiple products.

• Develops automated systems for deployment, monitoring, and fault tolerance to improve software deployment and development processes.

• Performs infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and migrations while minimizing downtime and ensuring service continuity.

• Provides tools and best practices to support the entire software development lifecycle, from development to production.

• Collaborates with product teams and stakeholders across the organization to understand requirements and deliver infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies

Technical Skills

Candidate should have 5+ years of experience in IT and should have the below skills. This is mainly for a platform engineering team responsible for creating infrastructure across AWS and Azure, but also needs to have hands-on experience in deployment when required.

Terraform - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and managing cloud resources

AWS & Azure - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, services, and architecture patterns .

Kubernetes - Container orchestration, cluster management, and application deployment .

Docker - Containerization, image creation, and container management Helm - Kubernetes package management and application deployment Datadog - Monitoring, logging, and observability for infrastructure and applications .

ArgoCD - GitOps-based continuous delivery and deployment automation Experience in AI services - Integration and deployment of AI/ML services and platforms.
