PwC

DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer (m/f)

Bratislava Full time

Job Description & Summary

Join PwC’s AI and DataServices team and help build, run, and continuously improve the cloud foundations that power modern data and AI workloads. We’re growing quickly and opening multiple DevOps opportunities—with most roles primarily cloud-focused (Azure) across infrastructure, networking, security, and automation, plus an additional opening that leans more heavily into Linux/Unix DevOps and system administration as another project/workstream focus.

If you enjoy modern cloud engineering, infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, and owning production environments end-to-end, we’d like to meet you.

As our DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer, you will operate, monitor, and maintain multiple Azure subscriptions and associated global applications. This is a true engineering + operations role: you’ll deliver project work (new builds and production changes) and also support incident tickets as part of the team.

What you’ll work on (our team's project examples)

  • Designing and maintaining Azure infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS) with automation-first practices

  • Cloud networking and secure-by-design infrastructure patterns (VNets, Private Link, NSGs, etc.)

  • Kubernetes-based delivery and operations (AKS)

  • CI/CD pipelines and automation for repeatable, reliable releases

  • Operational excellence: troubleshooting, runbooks, diagrams, and production support

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Azure-based infrastructure using Terraform modules (IaaS and PaaS) for new projects and production updates.

  • Troubleshoot IaaS/PaaS issues raised via incident tickets and meet ticket closure SLAs.

  • Create and maintain environment documentation (diagrams, playbooks, runbooks, best practices) and drive knowledge sharing.

  • Communicate with internal partners and provide guidance on application and infrastructure design.

  • Automate repetitive development, operations, and deployment tasks; improve delivery reliability through CI/CD and engineering discipline.

  • Within the Linux-leaning role, take deeper ownership of Linux/Unix-focused DevOps workstreams (system administration, configuration, scripting, and platform troubleshooting).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience with Azure core services, including Resource Manager, VMs/Scale Sets, Storage, and Networking (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancer, App Gateway, DNS, Private Link).

  • 3+ years of experience with Windows or Linux administration, with strong problem-solving ability.

  • 3+ years of experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

  • 2+ years of experience with Terraform.

  • Experience configuring continuous integration using tools such as GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, follow policies/procedures, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

  • For the Linux-leaning role: stronger depth in Linux/Unix DevOps: configuration management, scripting on Linux (bash/awk/sed/python), and platform fundamentals (SSH/certs, transport security, containers).

Nice to Have

  • BICEP and/or ARM templates

  • Configuration management tooling (preferably Ansible)

  • Scripting (Bash/Shell/PowerShell)

  • Docker containers for application deployment

  • Experience with databases (relational and/or NoSQL) and messaging/orchestration tools (e.g., RabbitMQ)

If DevOps interests you and you’re excited to build real, production-grade cloud platforms, we have the right project for you.
