About Organization
Device Eng. Department is responsible for developing various types of wireless devices such as smart phones, mobile routers, IoT devices and more.
Device Verification Section is taking care of device verification design, device verification system development, and field validations.
Advanced Radio Access Technology Group is taking care of device verification design, device verification system development, and simulator / lab / field validations.
Why We Hire
Previously, the primary test target devices were limited to smartphones and mobile routers. Now, we are now facing a rapid diversification of new devices, such as IoT modules, NTN capable devices and more. We are looking for talented people who can take the lead in test design, test system design, and validation efforts for these emerging, new devices.
Job Duties
You are required to execute Device Verification System Development and Device Validation under tight collaboration with device vendors, chipset vendors, internal NW teams and external NW vendors.
-Device Verification System Development: Development of Simulator Test Environment based on Verification Design.
-Device Validation: Execution of Simulator / Lab / Field verification. Confirm and coordinate NW availability, especially for Nb-IoT, LTE CAT1.bis and NTN, in relation to device validation.
There are many opportunities to communicate with internal/external engineering members in English.
Work Environment
Currently we have 5 members. You will collaborate with those existing team members and carry out out tasks.
Most members have been on this team for 4 years or more, including the Day 1 launch of Rakuten Mobile! You will be surrounded by institutional knowledge and have great access to training resources.
Minimum Qualifications
・Experience in Mobile Device Verification or Development.
・Basic knowledge about cellular communication technology based on 3GPP standards.
・Basic knowledge of device debugging and log capturing.
・Language: English- Business level
Preferred Qualifications
・Experience for 5G NSA / SA , Nb-IoT, LTE CAT 1.bis, NTN Verification or Development.
・Experience for Protocol Test Scenario development on Anritsu or Keysight equipment.
Languages:
English (Overall - 3 - Advanced)
