ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Demonstrate continued technical skill growth.
  • Maintain code standards within a primary technical domain.
  • Completes larger, multiple component development assignments with greater independence.
  • Determine root cause of production incidents.
  • Confident using developer environment tools.
  • Deep functional understanding of ancillary software tools and technology. Demonstrate continued knowledge growth on the application(s) you are assigned.
  • Participate in team meetings and project scrum meetings. 
  • Write, test and document somewhat complex code needed to implement approved requests for changes; verify the accuracy and completeness of coding. Perform technical analysis activities providing input for application changes and enhancements.
  • Coordinate tasks between teams.
  • Great at communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

OTHER FUNCTIONS: 
  • Represent production code changes in production triage meeting.
  • Understand business domain technology.
  • Understand the business domain customer personas.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Assist peers in root cause analysis of production incidents.
  • Understand your role and how it impacts the team, division and company.
  • Address technical blocks of peers of lower software domain expertise.
  • Understand how your attitude impacts the company and how your actions can contribute to the overall success of the company. 
  • Grow your general insurance knowledge. 
  • Consistently engage in behaviors that produce great experiences and outcomes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • BS/BA or greater in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Advocate for culture and leadership behaviors.
  • Must possess a general understanding of technical skills, programming languages and tools used by the company
