Yitty Active by Fabletics is currently looking for a Designer & Product Developer.
How Do You Fit In?
As the Designer & Product Developer, you will own style creation end to end, from concept and sketch through development, costing and fit until production handoff. This hybrid role demands strong design judgment paired with operational discipline. You will thrive if you are highly self-directed, detail oriented and comfortable solving challenges across design, construction and manufacturing while maintaining positive working relationships with all departments.
This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Product Creation and partner closely with the Merchandiser and Technical Designer.
What you will do:
Create seasonal concepts grounded in market trends, product performance and consumer insight.
Identify product opportunities including trend, silhouette, mood, color and fabric development, through research and shopping the competitive marketplace.
Create, update and manage sketches, design decks, tech packs and BOMs with full accuracy.
Partner with vendors to secure timely pricing, evaluate feasibility and resolve construction challenges.
Drive material and trim innovation. Build and maintain fabric and trim libraries, including testing and documentation.
Prepare costing charts and establish target FOBs/LDPs, cost-engineering season over season and documenting progress.
Sample tracking.
Work closely on fittings and PP reviews with Technical Design and Product Creation Sr Manager to ensure design intent, fit quality and construction execution.
Identify, communicate and resolve production risks with cross functional teams and vendors.
Maintain and develop production charts, reports and factory calendars.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design and external vendors, proactively communicating changes, discrepancies and approvals.
Adhere to Global Calendar deadlines and expectations through each milestone point.
What you can bring:
4+ years of previous design and development experience in activewear.
Great understanding of the marketplace and competitive set.
Proven ability to translate trend, consumer insight and technical constraints into successful product.
Experience in garment construction and strong attention to detail and materials.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, PLM systems and Excel.
Excellent communication and cross functional partnership skills, including vendor interaction.
Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage rapid timelines with independence.
Resourceful problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating under pressure
Flexible, organized and adaptable to the changing needs of the business.
