Design Services Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Design Services Engineer with focus on AI Security/Safety, you will develop and test integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze and leverage data in product and systems applications in both structured and unstructured environments. Also, You will support the Viavi 1000+ R&D Engineering team in supporting all tools for the Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC)

Required Qualifications:

• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or AI/ML Eng degree 
• Basic knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems
• Basic C++, Python or Java programming experience
• Familiar with Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA (epic, story, bug, task tracking), Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo….
• Basic Understanding of GIT, Bitbucket and Artifactory
• Basic Understanding of Monolithic vs Microservices architectures
• Basic knowledge of Databases, Oracle, SQL, Postgres, Hadoop, Vertica a plus
• Basic Knowledge of Telecommunications and Test and Measurement Domain
• Basic knowledge of Virtual Environments such as MS Hyper-V, VMware, and Openstack
