DESIGN MODELER

We are currently seeking highly motivated Design Modelers to join our team. Design Modelers create and develop accurate 3D models that support estimating, coordination, and construction workflows throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Create discipline-specific 3D models based on design intent, standards, and project requirement
  • Utilize collaboration system (Navisworks) to coordinate model content with other trades involved in the project
  • Maintain accurate and organized model geometry throughout the project and apply QA/QC standards
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and field inputs to ensure 3D model accuracy
  • Work under supervision to learn and follow Design and project specific modeling standards and processes
  • Support coordination efforts by updating and refining model content as direction is provided
  • Identify modeling issues or conflicts and communicate them to the Design team for review and resolution
  • Document and track modeling progress to support project reporting

Qualifications:

  • Experience or technical education in BIM, CAD, drafting, engineering, or construction
  • Strong spatial understanding and ability to interpret 2D documents into accurate 3D geometry
  • Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Organized, systematic, and able to perform detailed technical tasks
  • Willingness to follow direction, learn new processes, and grow within the team
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or construction systems is highly preferred
  • Experience with BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment

    • Potentially lift up to 50 pounds 
    • Potentially need to do repeated pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching (or working above shoulder), walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing  
    • Potentially operate a motor vehicle, crane, tractor, etc.
