Design Manager — Sustainability
We’re looking for a Design Manager to lead and support our talented design team within the Sustainability product area. Our mission is to make sustainability reporting simple, efficient, and compliant — helping companies meet reporting requirements through intuitive, modern software. You’ll guide a small, highly skilled design team working across complex, data-rich interfaces and workflows. Your focus will be to help designers thrive, enabling their growth, advocating for design quality, and ensuring that design continues to play a central role in how we build products.
This is a leadership role for someone who loves empowering others and strengthening design culture across a large organization. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering and Advisory to shape how we build user-centric products — driving modern, collaborative ways of working and championing design at every level.
What you’ll do
Coach and support designers in their day-to-day work and professional growth, helping them develop autonomy, confidence, and mastery of craft.
Oversee and enable complex design workflows within the Sustainability product suite ensuring cohesive user experiences across multiple products, personas, and touchpoints.
Advocate for design across the organization: communicate design value, share updates, and make design work visible through presentations, newsletters, or internal showcases.
Foster cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Advisory teams to ensure our solutions are user-centered, scalable, and technically sound.
Champion modern product practices — helping teams move toward iterative, agile, and collaborative ways of working.
Maintain a high bar for design quality through critique, guidance, and hands-on input when needed.
Shape the design culture within Sustainability Reporting: strengthen design processes, rituals, and our voice within the wider ISS Corporate ecosystem.
Who you are
You’re an experienced design leader (5+ years) with a strong background in product design and proven success working within large organizations.
You combine deep design expertise with strategic oversight — having delivered complex, high-impact products from concept to launch, including 0→1 initiatives with multiple user types and technical depth.
You’re confident in executing complex workflows, shaping design systems in Figma, and guiding teams toward intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
You’re passionate about helping others succeed and find satisfaction in seeing your team shine.
You’re a strong communicator, confident presenting design decisions to senior stakeholders and translating between business and design perspectives.
You bring a modern, pragmatic approach to design and technology, and you’re excited to evolve how digital products are built within a large organization.
You care deeply about sustainability, product quality, and user experience, and you’re motivated by making complex topics approachable and valuable for users.
