Summary

We are currently looking for a Calibration engineer to join our team in Manzanillo. The successful candidate Calibration engineer will be responsible for calibration and managing of engine performance development that optimize engine performance such as OBD(On board diagnosis) and  Tailpipe Exhaust emission by experiments and analysis tools with using engines and vehicles. The Calibration engineer will be focused to meet all internal/external performance target setting and at same time with compliance of current and upcoming regulations.

In addition, the Calibration Engineer requested to support manufacturing and design activities for all Powertrain related matters including new technologies, quality improvement, and cost saving initiatives as well as teamwork with other engineering groups.

A Day in the Life:   

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for performing system development and diagnosis calibration work,
  • Definition of experimental test plan and all related workshop activities
  • Support and verification of the test execution, according to the test methodologies, organizing test bench, roller bench, instrumentation, tools and material needs for all experimental activities, identifying and proposing solutions for incoming issues/roadblocks
  • Reporting  writing or presenting project milestones and key issues to Project managers
  • Perform analysis of data to draw conclusions and provide recommendations to various internal technical teams.
  • Support technical staff in test environment, often operating engine and test cell equipment in real-time during calibration development and testing.
  • Support manufacturing plants and actively participating at cross-functional team for solving powertrain-related matters.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanicals, Automotive or Electrical/Control- Completed degree.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience
  • Flexible working time for shift role
  • Availability for traveling (Domestic 2), International)
  • Valid driver license
  • Language:  Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. (Business Fluent)
  • Computer Skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Office. Programming skills,

Desired:

  • Basic experience or knowledge in engine, powertrain control development, design of experiments (DOE) and work with Nissan suppliers or other OEMs.
  • MATLAB/SIMULINK, a plus
  • Leadership & experience in project management skills such as time, resource and communication management.
