About the Role

We’re looking for a Design Director to lead and elevate our visual output across digital, social, and brand experiences. This role blends creativity, leadership, and innovation — overseeing a talented team of graphic designers and motion designers while driving the strategic and aesthetic direction of all design deliverables.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative leader with a sharp eye for detail, deep understanding of brand storytelling, and a progressive view of how AI tools can enhance creative workflows. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the studio consistently delivers high-quality, on-brand, and future-forward design work.

 

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead concept development and visual direction across campaigns, digital platforms, and brand identities.
  • Translate brand and social strategies into distinctive and effective design systems.
  • Review and approve creative outputs, ensuring excellence in craft and consistency across channels.
  • Partner closely with creative, strategy, and production leads to align design vision with business and brand goals.

Team Management & Mentorship

  • Manage, inspire, and grow a multidisciplinary design team of graphic and motion designers.
  • Set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and create an environment that promotes experimentation and creative growth.
  • Oversee team scheduling and resourcing to ensure efficient delivery without compromising quality.

Innovation & AI-Driven Workflows

  • Champion new design technologies and workflows that integrate AI-generated content, image generation, and automation tools (e.g., Midjourney, Runway, Firefly, Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT-based ideation).
  • Establish best practices for AI-assisted design processes that enhance speed, consistency, and originality.
  • Collaborate with the innovation and tech teams to continuously refine creative tools and pipelines.

Quality Assurance & Delivery

  • Ensure all work meets brand standards and technical specifications before delivery.
  • Maintain a balance between creative innovation and practical execution under tight deadlines.
  • Uphold the highest standards of design integrity across all outputs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in design leadership roles within digital, creative, or integrated marketing agencies.
  • Proven experience managing creative teams and overseeing a diverse portfolio of digital and motion projects.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and motion design tools (After Effects, Cinema 4D or equivalent).
  • Advanced knowledge of AI design tools and integration of generative content workflows into design production.
  • Strong conceptual and visual storytelling ability with a meticulous sense of aesthetics and detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to articulate design rationale clearly to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
  • A collaborative spirit, strategic mindset, and genuine curiosity for emerging design trends and technologies.
