Pfizer

Derm Franchise Health Equity Lead

United States - New York - New York City Full time

ROLE SUMMARY:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Pfizer’s Inflammation and Immunology (I&I) Business Unit on the dermatology franchise - an agile, innovative, groundbreaking team. Within I&I, Medical Dermatology has an industry leading pipeline and is poised for continued growth and success. The Dermatology team is responsible for two of our 25 by 2025 launches, LITFULO and CIBINQO.

  • LITFULO, one of Pfizer’s 25 by 25 launches, is a JAK3/TEC molecule that received approval in June 2023 and is the first and only FDA-approved treatment for severe alopecia areata (AA) in adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. Currently, there are three FDA-approved medicines for AA in adults, so LITFULO delivers on a critical unmet need for people suffering with the severe AA.
  • CIBINQO is an oral JAK inhibitor for moderate to severe Atopic Dermatitis that received FDA breakthrough designation and was approved in the US in mid-January 2022.

While skin diseases occur in all racial and ethnic groups, people of color may be disproportionately affected by certain skin conditions in terms of disease prevalence, severity, and how diseases present clinically. Our vision is to create a world in which people of all skin tones with different skin types who are burdened by the physical, emotional, and mental symptoms of dermatologic diseases feel seen heard and cared for.

The dermatology franchise has made significant investment in health equity initiatives, particularly through its “Every Color is Primary” (ECIP) platform and collaborations with organizations such as the Skin of Color Society.
