[What the role is]
You will carry out day-to-day supervision of exchanges, market operators, clearing houses and intermediaries to ensure that trading in securities and derivatives is fair, orderly and transparent and to promote stronger and more resilient capital market infrastructures and intermediaries.[What you will be working on]
This position sits within our Markets, Infrastructures and Intermediaries Supervision department.
You will join a dynamic team tasked to supervise exchanges, market operators, clearing houses and intermediaries (brokers). You will carry out day-to-day supervision of exchanges, market operators, clearing houses and intermediaries to ensure that trading in securities and derivatives is fair, orderly and transparent and to promote stronger and more resilient capital market infrastructures and intermediaries. You will also have responsibility for reviewing and assessing new licence applications.
There will also be opportunities for you to participate in business process reviews and other related transformation work to improve the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.

Good understanding and prior working experience in capital market intermediaries and/or securities or derivatives markets or regulatory matters will be an advantage
This is a 1-year contract position. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment
