Key Responsibilities:

KBR is seeking a Deputy Program Manager/Capability Project Lead to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of Air Force Research Laboratory – Integrated Capabilities Directorate

  • Conducting daily/weekly/monthly engineering status reviews and providing material for monthly program reviews.
  • Managing engineering resources such as staff assignments, capital equipment, and organizational interfaces.
  • Overseeing program technical performance to ensure project requirements are validated, integrated, tested, and verified.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other external partners involved in the projects.
  • The role requires a dynamic leader with a strong engineering background, passionate about driving excellence in program management. Candidates should have a proven track record in engineering project management, be proactive, detail-oriented, and have a proven history of success with Agile practices and processes in a DoD setting.

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25%
  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI, SAP Eligible clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, management, or related field
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience within DoD, space, intelligence, or related mission areas
  • Experience supporting programs with $5M+ annual value and teams of 10+ personnel
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, sustainment, integration, or operations
  • Current understanding/experience performing DoD acquisition, contracting, finance, budgeting and technical review processes for the Government or within industry
  • Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in secure, high-tempo operational environments

Desired:

  • Advanced STEM degree
  • Knowledge of standard military data links (such as Link 16) or NDF Experience (Network Data Link / Network Design File)

Basic Compensation: $172,800 - $259,200 (For Colorado Springs Only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
