Raytheon Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Program Manager to join our Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP) at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD.

ACEASP delivers warehousing, maintenance, procurement, and project management services in support of the F/A18F Super Hornet and EA18G Growler fleet.  Raytheon Australia has provided support to the Super Hornet and Growler platforms for the Royal Australian Air Force, under contract to Boeing Defence Australia (BDA), since 2016. 

The Deputy Program Manager will support the ACEASP Program Manager in leading and managing the program, helping to set the vision, management strategies, and support framework, while providing tactical direction for program execution across multidisciplinary teams.

  

With a strong focus on meeting program performance requirements, the Deputy Program Manager will assist in ensuring operational outcomes and financial performance remain within contracted obligations.

The role will also contribute to the identification, development, and pursuit of future business opportunities, including leading or supporting the creation of business proposals, plans, and contract activities. 

  • Assist in the planning, coordination and management of program operations including sub-contract management, risk management and budget, in accordance with company policies and procedures. 

  • Manage project opportunities and risks and develop mitigation strategies for pursuit throughout all project phases. 

  • Establish and implement plans, strategies and milestones for the program, and monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules. 

  • Develop, manage, maintain and report program status and progress according to the customers' key performance indicators. 

  • Identify, facilitate and support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives throughout the program’s lifecycle. 

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, suppliers and contractors. 

  • Supervise a team to conduct logistical activities with approved process and procedures

Skills, Experience & Qualifications 

  • University Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Business Management or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Ideally 8 years relevant experience 

  • Experience in establishing and managing integrated schedules, strategic planning and ability to identify conflicts and priorities 

  • Demonstrated practical knowledge leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within a job area 

  • High level skills in financial cost control including the ability to monitor and control project costs and guide financial completion activities 

  • Experience managing a mid-sized team consisting of experienced professionals and leading, directing and reviewing the work of a team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments 

  • Experience managing projects within Australian Defence and Defence industry will be highly regarded 

  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
