Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU), has an exciting career opportunity for a Deputy Infrastructure Lead – Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse, and innovative individuals located in Huntsville, AL.

Position Overview: 

As a Deputy supporting Internal Research and Development (IRAD), you will work in a collaborative environment to understand system requirements and perform software development for an innovative Fire Control System.  In addition to software development you will also perform CAM (control account manager) work for the product team.

Essential Functions:

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

  • Thoroughly learns the technical product through Agile ceremonies to be able to perform 90% of the CAM work for the team.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related experience, or a PhD and 4 years of related work experience.

  • Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start

  • Experience Developing Software in C++, Java or Python 

  • Prior experience working with containerization technologies

  • Use of Docker or Kubernetes to deploy/manage applications

  • History of working in financial management (prior CAM experience or similar)

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs

  • Applicants must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.

  • Strong understanding of Earned Value management

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
