Major responsibilities:

Order Booking and Sales

To support and achieve the order booking and sales target, with close co-ordination of sales force, marketing and product management, to be in line with strategy and policies of KSB.

Forecasting

To ensure a systematic collection of live project details, OEM requirements etc  of market sectors, if any and achieve the realistic forecast with the help of sales forces and co-ordinate manufacturing units to plan their activities to deliver the products as per customer requirements.

Management of dealer business

To develop, support and motivate dealer to be aggressive and customer focussed in the market through effective knowledge of product, market, competition, sales through regular training programme, joint customer visits for techno-commercial discussions, study and recommend dealer policy to improve business through dealer and evaluate their performance periodically with close co-ordination with KSB Sales force.

Management of Standard pump/Project pump/Spares for Mining -of OEM, Customers, Govt. bodies

To study scrutinise and recommend market requirement in terms of features, products, price levels, delivery requirement and obtain necessary approvals taking cognisance of management guidelines, costing inputs and available company resources to help/support field sales force to achieve annual        target, achieve better customer focus and further market share.

Training / Seminars

Recommend, organise and import training to dealer and KSB sales force. Conduct seminars to improve customer awareness

Optimum resource utilisation

To ensure optimum usage of resources within KSB and dealer network to improve quality in terms of error free quotation with presentation and speedy response to market requirements by effective planning, liaison with software professionals to develop necessary sales aids.

Project planning

Study competition, customer requirements and recommend prices for project job after ascertaining strategic importance, costing inputs taking cognisance of management guidance and maintain the overall price balance by obtaining necessary management approvals.

To propose potential avenues to upgrade or add the product basket on the basis of market feedback

Interact with Product Management and finalise technical specifications by way of Type Series Concept for New Products.

Involves detailed presentations to dealers / customers highlighting benefits and have a smooth change over from existing products, thereby ensuring success of this major new product

Undertake various activities listed above for products getting introduced in future

Work in collaboration with Operations, Contract Management and ensure customer satisfaction.
