Introduction:
We are seeking a high-impact Sr Manager/Deputy Director of Process Integration to provide strategic and operational leadership over technology development, yield management, and customer new product introductions (NPIs). This role is critical for managing a team of technical leaders and engineers, ensuring seamless inter-fab technology transfers, and driving continuous improvement activities to achieve superior product performance and business objectives across all derivative platform technologies.
Role and Responsibilities:
The role will assume accountability for the technical and managerial leadership of the Process Integration organization, with key responsibilities including:
Strategic Leadership & People Management
Lead and manage a high-performing team of Managers and Engineers to support GlobalFoundries business objectives across all areas of derivative platform technology developments.
Mentor and develop managers and engineers in both advanced technical expertise and essential managerial aspects.
Technology & Process Ownership
Direct and own the development of unique modular processes and manage the full scope of technology and process transfers from IDM fabs or inter-fab partners.
Spearhead process window widening, continuous improvement, and comprehensive yield improvement activities, ensuring successful volume ramp-up of new processes and technologies.
Be the key stakeholder for all major technology milestones approval, including M5 (Process Frozen) and M6 (Risk Production).
Manage and validate all significant process technology changes.
Manage the Process Integration Consortium to ensure convergence and standardization of key process changes.
Business & Quality Accountability
Be responsible for product life cycle deliverables from product qualification through risk production and high-volume manufacturing.
Drive significant cost reduction initiatives for both Direct Material (DM) and Indirect Material (IDM) through process simplification and convergence efforts.
Strategically interface with Customer Engineering to manage and prioritize external customer requirements and deliverables.
Lead the Process Change Review Board and the Material Review Board.
Responsible for wafer quality to conform to product requirements, with the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.
Provide support and ensure adequate resources to comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHSS) requirements.
Required Qualifications:
PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in Microelectronics, Electrical/Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Science in Physics/Material Science, or a related field.
At least 15 years of technical and supervisory experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Strong background in device physics and material science.
Demonstrated proficiency and experience in customer management.
Exceptional leadership and motivational abilities, capable of guiding senior technical teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
