The Park Hospital in Nottingham is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Deputy Clinical Services Manager to join their team of staff in the Theatres department.
This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Work clinically as part of the rota, providing expert oversight and supporting the nursing team during shifts.
Ensure the unit operates safely, efficiently, and effectively, upholding high standards of patient care at all times.
Act as the key point of contact and leader in the absence of the Clinical Services Manager.
Assist with daily staff allocation, rotas, and managing safe staffing levels and skill mix across the unit.
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of nursing and support staff.
Oversee the fair and efficient management of annual leave, study leave, and sickness.
Contribute to audits, incident reporting, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support the delivery of action plans following RCAs, complaints, and other reviews.
Promote a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
Significant experience in a ward, inpatient, or critical care nursing environment.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
Good understanding of governance, patient safety, and ward/critical care protocols.
Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
