We have an opportunity for a Deputy Clinical Services Manager - Theatre to join their team of staff in the Theatres department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Lead by example to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality care within the theatre department.
  • Provide day-to-day clinical leadership in your area of specialism, ensuring that best practices are followed at all times.
  • Support and guide staff to maintain high standards of patient care and technical competence throughout the perioperative pathway.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving the patient experience through compassionate and respectful care.
  • Act as an advocate for patients, raising and addressing any safeguarding or quality concerns.
  • Ensure all team members are supported in delivering patient-centred care that promotes dignity, safety, and empathy.
  • Support the development of the theatre team by mentoring junior staff and supporting their clinical competencies.
  • Assist the Clinical Services Manager – Theatre in the daily management of the department, including planning, rostering, and supporting service delivery.
  • Maintain effective communication within the theatre team and across multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care delivery.
  • Consistently demonstrate the behaviours and values expected by Circle Health Group, promoting a culture of excellence, respect, and accountability.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • NMC or HCPC registered practitioner with relevant experience in a theatre setting.
  • Clinical experience in a specialist theatre discipline (e.g. anaesthetics, orthopaedics, scrub or recovery).
  • Proven ability to lead and support clinical teams within a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and completion of all mandatory training requirements.
  • Strong understanding of patient safety, safeguarding, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience in a deputy or supervisory role within theatres.
  • Involvement in audit, service improvement, or compliance projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and support others.
  • Familiarity with private healthcare settings and theatre scheduling systems.
