Working Hours – Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00

The Role:

Within this role you will assist with general upkeep and housekeeping along with assisting depot operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out work as allocated by the Depot Manager, Service Delivery Leader, Production Manager & Team Leader within set timescales.

  • Carry out cleaning or simple maintenance tasks on rail vehicles at the discretion of the Depot Manager , Service Delivery Leader, Production Manager & Team Leader.

  • Ensure that the appropriate quality and environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to.

  • Take part in technical, quality, safety and general briefings and safety tours, and ensure that the necessary action is taken on items raised.         

  • Always maintain good housekeeping and standard of cleanliness throughout depot.

  • Ensure all documentation / paperwork issued relating to the work being carried out is correctly and fully completed.

  • Play an active role in your appraisal, training and development.

  • Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles

  • Using SAP as appropriate

  • Responsible for ensuring non-conformance process is correctly adhered to.

  • Collect material not required from point of use areas and return to correct location within the depot

  • Using software applications ie Maximo and other software applications when / if required

  • Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping and cleanliness in general areas is kept

  • Forklift driving duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid driving licence

  • Valid forklift licence is desirable

  • Good working knowledge of the railway

  • Although not essential previous experience working on SAP would be advantageous.
