The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Network Communications to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at the Edwards AFB, CA location.

Note: This position requires a minimum of 50% travel equating to approximately 180 days per year.  Travel will be both CONUS and OCONUS.  Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to meet these requirements.

 The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support establishment of the Windows Server security infrastructure design, implementation, and migration planning and fielding.

  • Provide support for Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019 platform and functions

  • Manage SCCM/ MECM platform to support customer requests for agent installation and tuning monitors and rules.

  • Participate in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.

  • Perform as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract.

  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.

  • Able to support multiple networks. Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed; direct others as necessary.

  • Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.

  • Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.

  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.

  • Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.

  • Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).

  • Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.

  • Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.

  • Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

  • Perform Network Communications activities in support of classified government contracts.

  • Exhibits good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.

  • Establishes and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies.

  • Follow documented technical processes and procedures in support of job duties as assigned.

  • Provide first-level support resolution of technical problems and answers queries by telephone, in support of internal customers computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.

  • Support network operations of LAN/WAN/VPNs with knowledge of encryption.

  • Under direction ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, following all security policies and procedures reporting task statuses, as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts in written and oral format.

  •  Assists with documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and change‑control records. 

  • Work is performed with moderate supervision; independent execution of routine tasks expected.

  • Support environments by means of ticketing requirements systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.).

  • Raises issues that require senior level attention or involvement.

  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.

  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must have a US Government 8140 security certification (example: Security+ or greater); maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment

  • Candidates must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) and have the ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret level security clearance in order to be considered

  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment

  • Willing to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days away from primary work location (both CONUS and OCONUS) and comply with mobility requirements

  • Must have and maintain a U.S. Passport

  • Experience with 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Network Engineering

  • Active Top Secret, SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph

  • Network+ certification and/or a Cisco CCNA (or a CCNA)

  • Network administration and analysis of routers, switches, firewalls, and/or VTCs

  • Experience in the use of network analysis tools (WireShark, SolarWinds, etc.)

  • Experience configuring TACLANES

  • Experience with Assessment & Authorization processes

  • Experience with MS SCCM/ MECM

  • Active Directory Experience or familiarity

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
