As Department Supervisor II, you will supervise caregivers and the technical and administrative functions of the patient access and scheduling teams at Weston Hospital. Some of your daily responsibilities will include standardizing workflows, caregiver escalations and HR processes. It will be your goal to ensure the caregivers and providers have the support, tools and resources to help meet patient needs.

A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Availability to virtually support teams on Saturdays will be required, as needed. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Supervise caregivers in daily operations.  

  • Act as a technical resource for the team.  

  • Implement goals that are consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units to achieve goals.  

  • Maintain staffing levels.  

  • Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.  

  • Provide leadership and training.  

  • Coordinate and provide orientation and education. 

  • Analyze workflows and procedures.  

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.  

  • Ensure cross coverage.  

  • Develop an effective work team.  

  • Communicate with caregivers and provide orientation on policies.  

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Associate’s Degree 

  • Three years of supervisory experience. Additional years of experience may substitute the education requirement 

  • Knowledge of supervision, training, development and public relations practices 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Healthcare experience in a large organization 

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

  • Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer in the course of work.

  • Will require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.

  • Available 24/7 through an issued pager and cell-phone.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
