What You Will Do:
Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Energy and its mission to ensure the grid delivers affordable, reliable, and secure energy. We are searching for an organizational effectiveness and project management Managing Consultant to help our clients effectively and efficiently execute against their mission.
We work collaboratively with our clients to help them work through their most pressing challenges. From implementing new policies to standardizing operations across offices, we work side-by-side with government leaders to solve important problems. We are seeking a consultant with strong organizational skills, experience with client program support, and experience managing teams. The role is on-site, in-person, at the Department of Energy headquarters.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the client’s business operations team to support efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
Lead the development of high-quality client deliverables that meet client requirements including standard operating procedures, governance documents, guidelines, etc.
Work with diverse stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and interdependencies
Lead the facilitation of client meetings, work groups, or interviews
Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget
Provide guidance, oversight, and coaching to other team members; mentor junior consultants, fostering a culture of learning, inclusion, and excellence
Collaborate with the contract manager and Guidehouse leadership on day-to-day management, progress reporting, and project financials
Support new business by contributing to account growth strategies and developing client relationships.
Collaborate across Guidehouse practice areas to bring integrated solutions that combine strategy, technology, and operations.
What You Will Need:
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
A minimum of FIVE (5+) years of management consulting experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
Must be able to work on site in Washington, DC
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems
Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Experience with Microsoft PowerApps
PMP or other project or program management certification
Experience working with the Department of Energy
Experience working with the Federal government / Public Sector
Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
