Job Title: Dental Sterilization Technician

Schedule: Monday - Friday | Days 8a-4:30p
SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for the sterile processing of dental instruments, equipment sanitation, operatory turnover, and maintaining compliance with infection control guidelines. As a key member of the dental support team, this position will ensure that all instruments are properly decontaminated, packaged, sterilized, and tracked in accordance with CDC, OSHA, and ADA guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instrument Decontamination & Sterilization: Clean, inspect, and safely handle contaminated instruments; operate ultrasonic cleaners, washer-disinfectors, and autoclaves while following strict sterilization protocols.
Inventory & Storage Management: Store sterilized instruments in clean areas, rotate stock using FIFO practices, and assist with tracking and restocking supplies.
Operatory Turnover & Support: Help clean and reset treatment rooms between patients, disinfect surfaces, and replenish chairside kits and supplies.
Infection Control & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA, CDC, and ADA guidelines, use proper PPE, and report any equipment or protocol issues to management.
Equipment Maintenance & Recordkeeping: Perform basic maintenance on sterilization equipment, log sterilization cycles and testing, and maintain all compliance documentation.
