As a Demand Planning Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence by analyzing business processes to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and elevate the customer experience at Smithfield. You will lead the rollout of new system functionalities, guide users through tool migrations, and optimize existing platforms to support our Demand Planning initiatives. You will create and manage scalable processes, troubleshoot system issues, and deliver actionable insights that fuel continuous improvement across the supply chain. You will collaborate cross-functionally to provide strategic reporting and analytics to Sales and Supply Chain teams, track performance against key targets, and support decision-making through deep analysis of sales data, forecasting accuracy, and system performance. You will also conduct ad hoc analyses to uncover opportunities and support business growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • System Implementation & Support: Leads and supports all phases of system implementation by validating upgrades and new tools against business requirements and ensures accurate system mapping in addition to serving as a Super User across planning and inventory functions.

  • Tool Optimization & User Enablement: Manages system configurations that influence performance and data accuracy then guides users through new functionality rollouts and acts as the primary contact for demand planning system communications.

  • Analytics & Reporting: Develops and deploys dashboards and trackers using Excel Power BI and supply chain software to deliver actionable insights followed by supporting KPI tracking and conducting ad hoc analysis to inform business decisions.

  • Process Improvement & Collaboration: Drives system based process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and data visibility while collaborating with planners and managers to evaluate planning risks and implement forward thinking solutions that optimize performance.

WHAT WE’RE SEEKING:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Demonstrates advanced analytical thinking, strong organizational and decision-making abilities, and effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills suited for both operational and executive level audiences.

  • Customer & Relationship Management: Demonstrates success in building strong customer relationships and delivering customer centric solutions is required.

  • Planning & Prioritization: Skilled in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.

  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team, in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Workplace Culture: Respectful, approachable and team oriented while fostering a positive work environment.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of consumer goods production operations and supply chain management principles preferred.

  • Technical Proficiency: Power BI and Anaplan experience preferred.
