Demand Planning Manager

Job Summary:
Mgr-Omni Planning manages a planning team responsible for demand planning, forecasting, seasonal buy strategy, and inventory-management processes. Management responsibility for overall monthly US Corp forecast process including sales and inventory forecasting. Demonstrates high-level planning and systems expertise and ability to handle complex issues.

Responsibilities:
Sets, reviews and manages forecasts, inventory, purchases and delivery to achieve business/ profitability goals and demand/supply targets. Contributes to regional budget and financial planning by determining feasibility gaps of the category plans. Provides on-going reconciliation of the regional demand plan to the financial targets and corporate forecast.

Creates seasonal and long-range strategic demand plan targets by brand and category. Facilitates collaborative planning process with other departments. Provides direction to team in establishing and managing detailed forecast, inventory, purchase and delivery plans by product type, customer, or region. Determines and documents the key assumptions and rationale for forecast targets. Monitors on-going results against key performance metrics and recommends suggested corrective action as necessary.

Represents the planning point of view with compelling analysis and supporting documentation to influence and drive cross-categorical and cross-functional decisions. Provides analysis and reporting that influences regional-line planning, product flow, and productivity. Assists in defining and creating reporting and analysis for the Planning department including scorecards and seasonal initiatives.

Sets individual and team goals and tracks performance against KPIs. Provides consistent coaching to elevate individual and team performance.

Works with other regional planning managers to implement best practices and supply chain initiatives. Analyzes forecast accuracy at various forecast horizons and levels to recommend areas for process improvement. Possesses a thorough understanding of the up-stream and down-stream supply-chain processes and high-level systems flow in order to understand the business process integration and ensure timely execution of supply-chain activities. Provides leadership in determining gaps and identifies opportunities for continuous process improvements and system enhancements. Understands impact of size curve set up to overall purchase planning process flows and manages size-curve process for designated categories.

Additional Requirements:
• Bachelor's or masters degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 5 years functional experience.
• Experience managing individual contributors and a department or acted as a lead.
• Manages a team with more than 2 full-time direct reports, typically professional level roles and may include support level roles and temporary/contract employees. 
• Superior analytical, forecasting, and problem solving skills
• Proactive and assertive in follow-through with colleagues and business partners
• Thorough knowledge of the Planning function including forecasting, planning, and inventory management
• Ability to understand and translate moderately technical concepts verbally and in writing
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent requests/inquiries with minimal supervisory involvement
• The ability to collaborate and influence others
• The ability to cope with conflicting constraints
• A well-developed ability to speak, read, and write English, including writing clear and concise business communication
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets, charts and pivot tables; using of functions such as sumif, vlookup, and similar
• Experience using Microsoft Access, including running preformatted reports and creating simple queries
• High-level communication and presentation skills
• Strong influencing skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional business partners
• A deep knowledge of the concepts and theories of the Planning function, including forecasting, planning, and inventory management
• Travel: Occasional - 10%
