About the role
Demand Planner is responsible for managing and balancing the flow of information upside and goods downside the chain through demand forecast in IBP taking advantage of the best statistical models and enriching forecast over collaborative work with commercial and marketing teams to understand customer demand, trends, patterns and events such as tenders, new product launches, phase in/phase out among others, with finance to align budget, to measure and valuing risks and opportunities for the market and the chain, with regulatory teams to integrate any risk or opportunity into forecast; and with local, regional and global SC streamlining the chain in terms of reaction, capacity and requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Integrate statistical forecasting with local market knowledge to enrich demand planning, accounting for deviations from statical models and ensuring that statistical forecasts are only adjusted when it happens to be accuracy increase. Prepare monthly demand review process by market and BU gathering insights (sales and marketing) through pre-works (Historical demand behavior and current forecast, forecast accuracy and bias), statistical forecast management and demand review sessions ending the process with the forecast consensus sign-off by market director.
Support clinic’s team on planning and inventory management.
Work in collaboration with sales, marketing and finance teams to analyze tenders and events building risk and opportunities scenarios which support market decision.
Manage and control event tool in IBP: Driver Based Planning for tenders and opportunities according to success market expectations and risk finance analysis.
Active participation on the yearly budget and quarterly latest estimate processes providing the best demand forecast consensus to local teams as a guidance to generate budgets.
Work as a team with finance and sales team on Vantage process (Demand forecast and finance forecast), aligning numbers, understanding and closing differences and generating sales and inventory risks agreed by local teams. Define inventory strategy through: Coverage profile, fix safety stock and lead time when it applies.
Work in coordination with marketing, regulatory and commercial teams for new products launch, phase-in/phase-out, or product changes through MEP (Market Extension Process) ensuring good understanding of SKUs, volumes, dates, PIPO strategy and inventory risk; and managing life cycle tools and files, filling demand planning inputs in MEP formats and drawing forecast strategy in IBP. Work together with sales and marketing in the process of portfolio rationalization.
Ensures obsolete or slow-moving inventory is identified early and addressed through commercial or operational strategies to comply with the company's financial targets.
Monitor, control and develop strategies to enhance demand planning KPI’s: Forecast accuracy, BIAS, DOH and inventory value, BO/DIFOT.
Manage forecast changes inside frozen period or when change is significant through the ad-hoc change process.
Ensure that the planning system (MRP) has correct and complete master data. Lead S&OP according to company standards ensuring active stakeholders’ participations and responsiveness, making follow up and fulfilment on tasks and duties through action logs and guaranteeing related new company’s members onboarding and engagement to the process.
Work as a team with local supply chain members to support on business risks, inventory management, operational disruptions among others.
Lead S&OE sessions for specific projects where focus on execution and operation highly impact business performance.
Work in collaboration with sales team as a partner to implement CPFR strategies in customers which drive FCA result to improve efficiency and service level.
Manage information and develop strategies for supply disruptions
Maintain direct communication with the regulatory area for effective supply. Work as a bridge between markets and regional/global supply chain teams to communicate and manage supply disruptions and market opportunities. Review and confirm allocations given from regional or global supply teams.

Expertise in using ERPs such as IBP, APO, SAP, or any other specialized demand planning software.
Ability to translate numbers and data into reliable insight

Knowledge of manufacturing production and supply chain processes.
Business understanding
Leadership competences: Communication, problem solving, collaboration – teamwork, strategic thinking, attention to detail, adaptability, resilience, negotiation and persuasion and influencing.
Ability to influence decisions by working across different organizational functions beyond the supply chain.
Solid understanding and experience in supply chain and S&OP management. Ability to thrive in VUCA environment: Resilience in adaptability, in dynamic and unpredictable contexts.
Openness to learning and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Education
Previous experience in demand planning.
Bachelor´s degree in industrial engineering, administration, supply chain, logistics or any related fields.
Specialization and/or master in supply chain management (Desirable) Certifications related to data analytics or APICS can be helpful.
