Demand Planner - CoE

Job Purpose

The Demand Planner is responsible for overseeing the generation of statistical forecasts produced through advanced forecasting models within the planning system.

The role ensures that forecasts are accurately generated, reviewed, and available for business use, while maintaining data integrity and alignment with established planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure AI forecasts are accurately generated using advanced forecasting models within the planning system.
  • Review forecast outputs to maintain accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Validate and maintain master data to support reliable forecast generation.
  • Prepare and share baseline review template to highlight anomalies or deviations.
  • Collaborate with the Demand Forecasting Manager to incorporate feedback and finalize the baseline forecasts.
  • Monitor forecast KPIs and alert relevant stakeholders to any issues affecting forecast quality.
  • Escalate system or technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted forecast generation and availability.

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, statistics, or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of practical experience in demand forecasting or analytical roles.
  • Hands-on experience with forecasting systems, preferably SAP IBP or SAP APO.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or other visualization tools.
  • Solid numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with planning calendars and integrated business planning processes.
  • Experience presenting insights to stakeholders and driving follow-up actions.
  • Comfortable working with change, continuous improvement and process documentation.
