Demand Forecasting Manager - 18 month secondment/ contract

UK – London – New Oxford Street Full time

The Regional Demand Forecasting Manager is responsible for the development of a robust, un-biased and comprehensive sales forecast for all SKUs, across all therapies, in this case specifically looking after a portfolio of Tier 2/3 Markets, that are managed by the Customer Supply Chain Organisation, Global Supply Chain. The demand plans will ensure that there is the appropriate level of inventory available in the corresponding MMWs/LSPs and LOCs.

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for leading the volume forecasting process to drive improvements in forecast accuracy, bias, working capital and customer service levels.
  • Manage exceptions to standard statistical baseline generation and collaborate with Centre of Excellence to review and agree improvement actions, highlighting related market dynamics.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of demand forecasting KPIs and evaluation of forecast value-added, highlighting key impact drivers with commercial/finance, review assumptions, and propose improvements.
  • Prepare forecast inputs into the key Core Commercial Cycle meetings, including Pre-Demand Review Meetings, Demand Review Meetings, and Regional Meetings such as EU MPR and EU S&OP.
  • Manage Risks & Opportunities with visibility to scenarios to aid decision-making, including management of changes on product lifecycle and changes to the product portfolio.
  • Drive Ai Forecasting Adoption and contribute to the implementation of new system, tools and processes following the Global Supply Chain Transformation deployment for Europe.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • University degree in Economics, Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience on multiple business cycle in Commercial Sales / Marketing / Demand Forecasting / Finance operations, ideally in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Promotes a ‘one number’ mindset to drive business decision-making and forecast transparency / functional accountability.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in working with and visualizing data
  • Strong planning ability & able to work on own initiative.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Supply Chain Professional Qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, and preferably fluency in one or more additional European languages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead cross functional teams, and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Good knowledge of supply chain forecasting software systems and processes, of SAP APO or OMP and statistical forecasting.
  • Strong networking, planning and organisational skills with a demonstrated capability to manage complex projects with short timelines.
  • Specialist knowledge of Demand Forecasting systems and processes, preferably managing strategic therapies/brands/market.
