We are looking for engineers that are customer obsessed, who can take on the full scope of the product and user experience beyond the technical implementation. You'll set the foundation for how we build robust, scalable and delightful products.

Job Duties: 

  • Own and drive customer growth and adoption by leading key customer stakeholders, maintaining executive-level relationships, and coordinating specialized internal teams across Databricks.
  • Partner with strategic customers to deploy, migrate, and operationalize use cases and workloads into production, leading the post-win technical account strategy and execution.
  • Define, create, and execute post-sales technical plans and strategies across the full Databricks product portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary post-sale technical lead, providing technical direction and ensuring successful customer outcomes.
  • Leverage strong technical credibility to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of customer organizations, from technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Develop and manage execution plans that align and coordinate the activities of all customer-facing technical roles and teams supporting the account.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data/Management Science or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in technical project / program delivery within the domain of Data and AI, or related occupation.
  • In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data/Management Science or a related field plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in technical project / program delivery within the domain of Data and AI, or related occupation.
  • Qualifying experience must include two (2) years in at least six (6) of the following (which may be gained concurrently):
    • Programming experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Scala or Java;
    • Query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting and debugging utilizing data engineering technologies including at least one of the following: Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or Kafka;
    • Designing solutions on at least one of the following cloud infrastructure/ services: AWS, Azure, or GCP;
    • Solution architecture related distributed data systems;
    • CI/CD for production deployments;
    • Customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting role;
    • Technical program management including account, stakeholder and resource management accountability; and
    • Conducting open-ended discovery workshops, creating strategic roadmaps, conducting business analysis and managing delivery of complex programs/projects.

Up to 25% travel (domestic/international) required based on business need.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
