About the role
TwinStream is seeking a Delivery Manager to define and drive delivery across the early stages of our long-horizon product development initiatives. This role is pivotal in bringing clarity, flow, and structure while the product is still in its formative phase, potentially several years away from market readiness.
As part of a small and evolving function, you will establish foundational delivery governance, embed effective risk management, and enhance visibility across teams. You will work closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads, and internal stakeholders to ensure priorities are clear, risks are surfaced early, and progress is communicated transparently.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building new ways of working from the ground up, and is comfortable operating in a research- and discovery-heavy environment.
Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership (Agile/Kanban)
- Own and continuously improve the Kanban flow for product development.
- Maintain clear visibility of priorities, dependencies, and team capacity.
- Facilitate key delivery routines such as prioritisation, intake, flow reviews, delivery check-ins, and dependency discussions.
- Ensure teams have the information and context required for predictable, sustainable delivery.
Governance Creation & Reporting
- Design and implement a pragmatic governance model suitable for long-horizon, high-uncertainty product development.
- Establish delivery dashboards, decision logs, checkpoints, and maturity-based stage-gates.
- Produce clear reporting on progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, and roadmap evolution.
- Ensure governance remains lightweight, value-driven, and adaptable.
Risk Identification & Management
- Build and maintain a structured RAID log tailored for early-stage product development.
- Surface technical, operational, design, and resource risks early in collaboration with Product and Engineering.
- Lead mitigation planning, track actions, and escalate risk exposure with recommended responses.
- Foster a culture that proactively identifies uncertainty.
Internal Stakeholder Engagement & Demos
- Coordinate and run demos of evolving product features for internal stakeholders.
- Capture, synthesise, and feed feedback into prioritisation discussions.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions in a compelling, accessible way.
- Build trust through transparency and predictability.
Cross-Functional Early-Stage Awareness
- Ensure early consideration of IP, licensing, commercial constraints, and long-term operational needs.
- Track assumptions and early-stage risks, revisiting them as the product matures.
- Identify when external advice is needed and coordinate support.
Team Collaboration & Ways of Working
- Partner with Product Managers and Technical Leads to shape delivery plans and roadmap evolution.
- Support the balance between research, prototyping, architectural foundations, and feature delivery.
- Contribute to developing tools, documentation, and delivery maturity from the ground up.
Key Skills
- Excellent organisation and planning skills, with an ability to manage evolving priorities.
- Strong background in IT delivery using Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Skilled at identifying and mitigating risks early, even when information is incomplete.
- Strong communication skills and ability to craft leadership-ready updates.
- Confident in facilitating demos, workshops, and stakeholder sessions.
- Able to synthesise feedback and convert it into actionable delivery insights.
Personal Qualities
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and shaping structure where none yet exists.
- Calm and considered under pressure; strong situational awareness.
- Collaborative, approachable, and able to influence without formal authority.
- Forward-thinking, with an ability to anticipate both near-term and long-term delivery needs.
