Exciting opportunity for Data Delivery Technical Lead who will play a key role within ING Australia’s technology function, supporting the Bank’s strategy to modernize its technology landscape and strengthen enterprise data capabilities.
Reporting to the IT Area Lead – Data Delivery, this position is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of data platform programs and data initiatives across the Organisation, combining deep technical data expertise with strong experience in large‑scale transformation delivery.
The role works closely with a wide range of local and global stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes at pace, while ensuring reliable execution and high delivery standards. It places strong emphasis on adherence to established transformation frameworks, delivery methodologies, and risk management practices to ensure consistency, quality, and control across all data initiatives.

What you’ll do …
Lead end to end delivery of data initiatives, managing onboarding, mobilization, resource coordination, and execution to achieve agreed outcomes.
Partner with Program Leads and cross functional stakeholders to deliver scope on time, within budget and quality, managing dependencies, risks, issues, and vendor performance.
Provide clear delivery governance and reporting, including status updates, milestone tracking, financials, and escalation of risks and issues to senior leadership and governance forums.
Apply ING delivery frameworks and standards, ensuring all data streams comply with project, risk, control, and delivery management practices.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation, conducting stream reviews, capturing lessons learned, and establishing scalable delivery processes across the program.
Build and sustain a high-performance team culture, supporting workforce planning, talent development, engagement, and alignment to ING values and Orange Code.
What we’re looking for….
Proven experience delivering large‑scale data platforms, products, or transformation programs within complex, enterprise environments.
Strong leadership capability, with experience leading delivery teams and influencing outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leaders.
Demonstrated experience working with onshore and offshore partners in distributed delivery models.
Solid technical understanding of data platforms, integration, and analytics, combined with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Successful delivery experience using agile and hybrid methodologies, managing multiple priorities, milestones, and dependencies.
Highly developed communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with a strong focus on quality, risk, control, and continuous improvement.
