ABOUT THE ROLE

The Delivery Lead is responsible for leading the effective delivery of products and key initiatives through software engineering and product teams, ensuring work is delivered predictably, efficiently, and aligned to the organisation’s strategic roadmap. The role provides leadership in delivery methodology, embedding and continuously improving Agile and Lean practices across teams, while acting as an Agile champion within technology and product. By partnering closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders, the Delivery Lead ensures that Agile adoption supports clear business outcomes, strong client focus, and alignment to strategic goals and principles.

The Delivery Lead coaches teams and leaders to improve ways of working, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The role oversees planning, tracking, and reporting of key initiatives, providing transparency on progress, risks, and delivery performance to the Payments Leadership Team through meaningful metrics and insights. By empowering teams to manage their own work, solve problems proactively, and continuously improve, the Delivery Lead strengthens operational efficiency, productivity, and delivery outcomes, while maintaining strong connections with external Agile communities to bring modern practices into the organisation.

KEY RESPONSILITIES:

  • Lead delivery methodologies for software engineering teams.

  • Work with engineering, product, and the wider business to improve Agile practices.

  • Serve as an Agile Scrum Master for technology and product teams.

  • Ensure Agile and Lean objectives are communicated and achieved.

  • Improve internal Agile frameworks, practices, and thinking.

  • Provide hands-on Agile coaching and support better ways of working.

  • Foster client focus and alignment to strategic goals.

  • Promote collaboration across teams and functions.

  • Lead planning and tracking of key initiatives.

  • Maintain links with external Agile communities.

  • Support operational efficiency and productivity improvements across Payments.

  • Report progress and risks to the Payments Leadership Team.

  • Collect and present delivery metrics and performance insights.

  • Empower teams to own their work, stay accountable, and solve problems proactively.

SALARY

AUD 130,000 – 165,000 + superannuation

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced Agile practitioner who thrives at the intersection of technology, product, and business. You enjoy leading teams to deliver outcomes efficiently while fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and client focus. You are hands-on in coaching and enabling teams to work in an Agile way, empowering them to take ownership, solve problems proactively, and align to strategic goals.

You will also bring: 

  • Experience in a software development environment

  • Strong knowledge of Agile techniques
