The Opportunity
Our QPS (QBE Portfolio Solutions) portfolio is a key strategic priority for QBE, with significant growth achieved to date and ambitious plans for continued expansion. To support this, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Analyst to join the team. The role will support the team based in London with flexible working available.
Our book of delegated business operates across multi class on an international scale. With classes of business including Property, Financial Lines, Casualty, Marine and Energy, this is the fastest growing division within QBE International.
In this role you will work closely with our underwriters, providing administrative support for all third party delegated authority arrangements ensuring compliance within QPS DUA Framework. This is a great opportunity to partner and build relationships both internally and with external stakeholders, delivering a continually improved delegated underwriting services across a breadth of international, large product lines.

Your new role
To Support Underwriters and the DUA team with administrating the end-to-end due diligence for the onboarding for all DUA business as well as renewing existing business.
To provide ongoing support to both Underwriters and the DUA team with monitoring of multiple Cover holders
Bordereaux Management and Premium monitoring. This will include the ingestion of a high volume of Bordereaux’s and good analytical skills ensuring the data is adhering to QPS minimum requirements as well as assisting with any regulatory and Lloyds returns where required
Lead underwriting reviews and drive timely completion by proactively coordinating resources and ensuring internal deadlines are met.
To provide support for all ad- hoc DUA requirements / projects
To build and maintain and strong relationship with all stakeholders both internal and external
Identify opportunities for process improvement and champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance across DUA operations.
About you
Previous experience within the DUA environment including some Lloyds knowledge
Good analytical skills with the ability to identify, manipulate and analyse existing data.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and v-lookups experience required)
Self-motivated learner with attention to detail and good due diligence skills
Adaptable to change with the ability to manage multiple streams of work
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stake holders of all levels
