The Position

Marketing & Medical Malignant Hematology - Intern

What do we offer?

To be part of a new cohort of the Roche-CEU San Pablo postgraduate degree as an expert in the Pharmaceutical Industry. 11 months of internships at Roche where you will participate in challenging projects and benefit from pioneering postgraduate training in the market about the pharmaceutical industry.

You will have the opportunity to get on-the-job training by working on key projects with your designated department from Monday to Thursday and attend in person postgraduate classes at the university on Friday.

Our main location is Madrid, we are open to applications from all over Spain but relocation will be needed as part of the program expectations. Office attendance is expected (with some flexibility) to enjoy the connection to our colleagues, network and get exposure.

Last but not least, you will have mentorship by a Roche tutor who will give you continuous feedback to develop your professional skills. The mentors for the program are Roche’s senior and experienced young talent development professionals.

What are the main responsibilities of a Marketing & Medical intern?

This internship offers a unique cross-functional experience within the Malignant Hematology Squad, combining exposure to both Marketing and Medical activities across innovative therapies in Lymphoma and Multiple Myeloma.

During the first six months, the intern will join the Marketing team and support key launch activities for products such as glofitamab, Polivy, and subcutaneous mosunetuzumab. This experience will provide broad exposure to how cross-functional marketing strategies are developed and implemented in collaboration with Squad teams, ecosystems, and stakeholders during multiple launches within the same therapeutic area.

During the second phase, the intern will rotate into the Medical team, gaining exposure to medical strategy activities related to pipeline preparation, medical education initiatives, clinical data analysis, and post-readout projects in Hematology.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the implementation of the Integrated Commercialization Plan for Lymphoma and Myeloma products.

  • Collaborating in launch readiness and strategic follow-up activities for key products within the Hematology portfolio.

  • Supporting the development and review of scientific and promotional materials, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance alignment.

  • Participating in market research analysis, competitive intelligence activities, and patient journey evaluations to identify unmet medical needs.

  • Assisting in the generation and communication of medical and commercial insights to support decision-making.

  • Supporting omnichannel initiatives, including digital campaigns and educational webinars for healthcare professionals.

  • Collaborating in evidence generation activities, including support for manuscripts, congress presentations, and local evidence initiatives.

  • Providing support in the organization of advisory boards, congresses, events, and internal meetings.

  • Participating in cross-functional collaboration with Patient Journey Partners (PJPs), ecosystem teams, and Squad members.

  • Supporting medical strategy initiatives related to Celestimo, glofitamab, Multiple Myeloma pipeline molecules, and post-launch medical activities.

  • Collaborating in the analysis and visualization of clinical trial and read-out data.
     

What are we looking for in this position?

Recent graduates or university students who will obtain their degree in the summer, preferably in Healthcare Sciences such as Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biology, Medicine, Biochemistry, or related fields.

We are looking for proactive, analytical, and collaborative candidates with strong scientific curiosity and interest in medical strategy, product launches, and innovation within the pharmaceutical industry.

Desired skills and qualifications include:

  • Basic understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, clinical trials, and product strategy.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret scientific and market data.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex medical concepts into clear and impactful messages.

  • High level of English (C1 or above), especially for scientific literature analysis and international competitive intelligence activities.

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Proactivity, adaptability, learning agility, and ownership mindset.

  • Strategic thinking and business orientation with interest in connecting science and commercial strategy.

  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Office 365 tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity or willingness to learn agile project management and AI-based tools.

  • Passion for improving patients’ lives and motivation to contribute in an innovative and challenging environment.

  • Commitment to dedicate yourself full time to the program from September 2026 to August 2027.
     

For international students, have a valid NIE or work permit in Spain.

By rotating through both Marketing and Medical teams, the intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical business, including product development, clinical read-outs, EMA preparation, pricing and reimbursement processes, launch strategy, and cross-functional Squad collaboration.
