Evaluates, develops, specifies, and communicates deep learning (DL) hardware structures and interfaces that accelerate DL software. Provides a comprehensive view of solutions and supporting pre and postsilicon activities in multiple domains. Leads systems innovations to advance model efficiency on device and in the cloud, including quantization, architecture search, and model compression using auto machine learning (ML) methods. Impacts and influences the artificial intelligence (AI) product roadmap and development based on profound comprehension of AI and DL algorithms, DL customer requirements, and DL software frameworks. Collaborates with product and algorithm teams to analyze next generation requirements and opportunities and influences and guides research and academic collaboration in the space of AI and DL. Performs activities related to platform research in ML, such as compute in memory, ondevice learning, edgecloud distributed learning, and quantum ML. Develops complex performance and power models using ML/DL techniques. Collects and analyzes design performance and power data on pre and postsilicon platforms using simulation and emulation and by developing the enabling firmware, software, tools, and automation solutions. Works closely with various teams including customerfacing and architectural design teams to explore and validate the performance and power of the next generation of silicon products.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: • Undergrad, M.Sc. or Ph.D. students in Computer Science / Electronics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics or related area • Fluency in Python • Experiences on programming and testing on Linux / Windows environment • Experience with version control (Git, CI) • Understanding of Deep Learning techniques • Problem-solving and algorithm design skills • Experience working with one or more frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and OpenCV • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
