We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Deduction Analyst to join our team. They will oversee Food Service deductions, manage trade deduction processes, and support timely, accurate resolution through reporting, system management, and cross-functional collaboration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a main point of contact for Food Service deductions including managing aging trade deductions to ensure customer deductions against sales programs and contract volumes are resolved in a timely manner
- Prepare and facilitate regular aging deduction and repayment meetings with internal stakeholders
- Manage billback and deduction flow through Trade Management System; determine root causes and provide recommendations for process improvement and streamlining opportunities
- Prepare trade and deduction reporting as requested
- Monitor outstanding customer repayments related to trade deductions, working with stakeholders to ensure timely repayments and coordinate transactions between departments to resolve any issues
- Manage customer portals, obtaining back up for deductions and logging dispute tickets as they occur
- Assist in overseeing the functionality of the trade deduction system and document standard operating procedures for all trade deduction management to help facilitate scalable growth in the department
- Assist in the onboarding of Canadian deduction management into Trade Management System; includes planning cut-over, testing, training other staff and managing the implementation of the software into the business unit
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or diploma in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or Business Analytics.
- 1-2 years accounting experience or other relevant work experience
- Demonstrate above average attention to detail, organizational skills and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working in an ERP
- Experience with Trade Management Software is considered an asset
- Experience in the CPG or food service industry also an asset
- Strong desire to develop and expand the position and responsibilities
